Day 3 – April 2025
Day three saw us leave beautiful Grassy Head (we’ll be back!!) and head north, bound for Brisbane!
An oversized load took us back to life on the road, we Spotto’ed the Big Banana, the kids kept themselves busy with their Spotto Books and slime and we started to listen to the latest book on our list – Kasey Chambers ‘Just don’t be a D**khead’

Funny story, I (Hayley) remarked that we would pop the book on but we would have to see how long it would last… we weren’t 100% how many swear jar moment there would be…
Well we giggled at the first few F-bombs, reminded the girls they might hear it, but they don’t say it and remarked we might need a swear jar for Kasey.
Needless to say when we got to the story about puppy (IYKYK)… well the girls know a new word and Dad thinks Kasey may owe them an entire swear jar!
This one is full of gems but is for older ears and those with clear guidelines on what language we might hear and what we might say ![]()

Lunch was one of our favourite regular stops – the Ferry Park Gallery Maclean and Oliver’s café, even if Emily’s burger did make us laugh, a lot.
We grabbed our first Australian Adventure Passport stamp of the trip here as well (these are the best for travellers!).

We would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands we explore and pay our respects to the elders past, present and emerging.
