December saw us enjoying more of the SA coastline before heading into Victoria and then our first trip to Tasmania in four years!
Looking back a key part of December was making new, life-long friends and spending quality time with old friends.

Highlights
From the delights of Robe and the incredible landscape of the Limestone Coast to the new friends we made throughout Victoria and a return to the Great Ocean road we packed a lot into the first few weeks of December! And that was before jumping on the Spirit of Tasmania for the first time and spending Christmas and New Years with our wonderful friends.
G: The caravan “car” wash😆 , The Blue Lake, Portland, Great Ocean Road, Christmas with the MackInDodges.
M: Transmutation, Little blue lake, Kilsby Sinkhole, Portland Cable Trams ride, getting better, driving the Great Ocean Road, Spirit of Tasmania, Christmas and of course seeing Will for the first time in 4 years!
E: The Blue Lake, Little blue lake and Kilsby Sinkhole, making friends with Jane and Bonny, the tram ride at Portland and playing with Bae and Levi, Koalas, new friends and campfires at Cape Otway, Twelve Apostles, Spirit of Tasmania, seeing Will, doing puzzles, Christmas and staying up for New Years! “Hey Mum, this month was cool!”
H: Robe – especially Transmutation, Kilsby Sinkhole (on the list to snorkel on another visit!), the blue lake, the free camp gang in Portland, a return to the great ocean road, the beautiful Otways with Bimbi Park and the koalas in the trees, our first trip on the Spirit of Tasmania, platypus in the wild, catching up with my old friend Dan and two wonderful weeks (so far) with the MacInDodges and their extended family.
Lowlights
Til being sick (written by Til! But she’s not wrong, it’s never nice having your kids unwell) – Garth and Em also had a head cold in Tas, we’re glad they are all better now!
Lessons learnt
We all knew there places overseas where the sun stays up a lot longer than it does in NSW/QLD but man we had no idea it would be so pronounced in SA, Vic & Tas! There have been more than a couple of nights where the daylight starts to wane and we realise it’s really quite late and dinner isn’t even started😆
