After leaving Ballard we headed south of the boarder. We cannot tell you how cold it was!!
Getting out at Wallengarra was freezing that’s to an approaching storm, thank goodness for the epic soup and the warm place to rest.

Once we had done the usual boarder pics it was a quick trip down the road to Oakridge Station – we laughed when looking back at the photos of our last visit – Emily was wearing the same pants when we arrived as Matilda had two years ago!
This visit we decided to check out the Sir Henry Parks Museum and Matilda shocked us all with her knowledge of, and enthusiasm for the history here. Seems her amazing Librarian had indeed gotten some details to stick!
The girls have also been waiting two years to visit the Tenterfield Saddlery as it’s been closed every time we visited. They weren’t disappointed this time 🙂
The rest of our visit was spent hanging out with our friends Evelynne and Rob, exploring their farm and spoiling their puppies! (Daisy, Poppy and Peonie are the puppies🐶)
The girls have 100% stashed a kilo of quartz they collected, somewhere in the van – it could have been worse, they would have happily taken a dog or two as well!
We would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands we explore and pay our respects to the elders past, present and emerging.
Our travels today started on Barunggam and finished with us resting on Ngarabal country.
