Well… we’re on the road again!
This time in our very own van ![]()
Meet “Jessie’s Dream”, she’s poised to take us around the country sometime next year but for now we’re off on her maiden voyage.
We started with two nights at Toowoon Bay. This place holds a special place in all our hearts, there’s no way we could have stayed anywhere else first!
While we were at Toowoon the demolition guys were in our house – half a day and there’s no more kitchen ![]()
A huge thanks to Mum and Dad who made the two days at Toowoon possible. It’s one thing to pack and get a van ready for it’s first trip, it’s another to do it while preparing for a week away at short notice, empty a kitchen for demolition, run around to swimming lessons, school drop off and pick up and work in jobs that are extremely busy at the moment!
Their help made it not only possible but enjoyable! Thanks for the awesome dinner last night – incredibly our first in the camp kitchen at Toowoon!

This morning it was a wet but warm enough pack up before we headed north.
The Windsor Rapid Cafe was once again open for business at the Wang Wauk Rest Area (
) before arriving at our destination for the night – the very wet and stormy Coffs Harbour.
We’ll sleep well tonight ![]()
We would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands we explore and pay our respects to the elders past, present and emerging.
Our travels today started on Darkinjung/Guringai country. We travelled through Awabakal, Worimi, Biripi and Daingatti country, resting finally on Gumbainggir country.
