Day 4 – NSW road trip 2020
Woah! It was cold over night. The pipe on the van next to us froze solid (we took ours off before bed – the benefits of being mountains kids, we know the consequences of negative degree nights and water pipes!)
It was time to pack up the van and move on. The kids were sad to leave their new found “friends”, particularly Em who had some sad moments on the way out of town.
That kid loves hard!

Next stop was just outside of Tenterfield on our friends Rob and Evelynne’s truffle farm.
We arrived to a glass of bubbles – what a welcome!
This place is beautiful.
We spent the day exploring the farm – touring the veggies patches and orchard, the works in progress, the dam, checking out the cattle, playing with the dogs and generally wandering about. Oh and nattering – there’s a lot of catching up to do!
The kids have had a blast! They have discovered granite country = quartz everywhere! So crystal collecting and making full moon wands was on the menu.

Finished the night with nibbles and a wine by the campfire, home made pizza and more fire time and marshmallows.
Farm time has been good for the soul as we genuinely wind down and relax.

We would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands we explore and pay our respects to the elders past, present and emerging.
Our travels today started on Gunbainggir country and finished with us resting on Ngarabal country.
